Looking Back

Sometimes I forget what our garden looked like before and then I come across an old photo. The following photo was taken in 1998 when I had just finished putting in the path and the rose garden. I don't know why I bothered carving that knob on top of the trellis post because I haven't seen it for years.

Now that the roses have grown and the climbing hydrangea has covered the trellis the view has been forever altered.
